Forum Overview
The Forum app allows you to have a discussion forum on your website.
The Parts of a Forum
A forum has the following parts.
Individual Forums
Think of these as containers for the individual discussions. Typically a discussion forum will be broken into a handful of individual forums. Each individual forum could be for a specific topic. Usually the website administrators setup the individual forums. Visitors to the site cannot create new forums.
Discussions
Discussions are the actual conversations within a forum. Typically a visitor will start a discussion and others can reply to it.
Posts
Posts are the individual replies within a discussion.
Protecting Your Forum
We recommend that you password protect your forum and require visitors to register or log in before posting. This will help minimize any spam within the forums.
