Applying Global Form Templates to Individual Forms
Global form templates make it easier for all of your forms to have a consistent layout.
Once a global form template is created you then need to configure your forms to use it. There are two ways to do that.
- When adding a new form
- When editing a form
Adding a New Form
When you are adding a new form you can select to use a global form template for the form.
Editing an Existing Form
When you edit a form you can change the form to use a global form template instead of it’s own form template.
To edit a form hover over the form on the forms list page and click the Edit form settings link
Or, if you are already viewing the form details then you can click the Edit this Form link at the top.
On the edit screen click the Design tab.
Select Use one of the following global form templates under the Template menu.
The Global form template field will show. Select the global form template you would like to use.
Click the Save Form button at the top to save your changes.
Back on the form details view if you go to the Templates tab to the left a new notification will appear, letting you know what global template is currently chosen.
Note that the notification tells you that alternate templates still may be added.
You can also click on the name of the global form template in that notification to edit the template.
